As a family, we have been very lucky. We have been able to take many summer trips out west to experience things that not very many people are able to come across in life. Some of the trips we have taken as a family were out to South Dakota, Montana, and Yellowstone. The most recent trip was out to Yellowstone. We went in June, but there was still snow on the ground there. We had so many unique experiences. Seeing a buffalo chase a crowd of people through a field and then having it come right up next to our car. We also got to see Old Faithful and many hot springs. Also, one night we took the mountain side road home and saw tons of wild animals, it was such a cool night. South Dakota was the first trip we took out west, I was really young so I do not remember much, but I know it was a great trip which is why we continued to come back. Our trip to Montana was by far my favorite. We took the Amtrak for about 24 hours and then it dropped us off in the middle of nowhere. We ended up having a fantastic trip. All of the trips we have taken have been very memorable and I can't wait for the next one we take.
I had these same trips when I was really young too.. I feel like they molded me into the life-long traveler I am today, simply becase they are amazing experiences not many others have. Trips like these also open your eyes to so much more about the world - outside of Disney Land.
